LOVE PILLOW

I wanted to add a wee bit of pizazz to our bed so I took an Ikea lumbar pillow and added some fabric letters which I embroidered on it. (the fabric is from an old Ikea duvet cover)

It is easy to "pimp" your linens.  Just print off a font you like or as in this case, I simply traced some wood letters I had right onto the paper backed fusible web.  I then cut it out and ironed it in place.  Pink embroidery thread is what I used to sew it on using a primitive applique stitch.  Sewing by hand is such a lovely quiet way to spend an hour or two.  I think I will do some more... hmmmm.... maybe another pillow.
